In the Town of Paradise Valley, two major watersheds, Doubletree Ranch Road and Cherokee Wash, historically caused flooding problems to residential areas and a local grade school. To mitigate this flooding, a 10-year storm drain along Doubletree Ranch Road was constructed, along with storm drain laterals along the adjacent streets. The surface of Doubletree Ranch Road was utilized to convey greater than 10-year floods. The District was the lead on this project per the IGA with the Town of Paradise Valley, with the Town providing a cost share contribution.
