Description:

To mitigate historical flooding, a storm water collection system with four retention basins located along the Highland Canal for runoff originating in the Town of Guadalupe were constructed. The project provides 10-year flood protection to approximately 90 homes in the area and protects adjacent homes and downstream properties in Tempe. Per the IGAs with the Town of Guadalupe and the City of Tempe, the District was the lead on this project and covered all costs.
