This project, originating from the Glendale/Peoria Area Drainage Master Plan, assisted in correcting insufficient drainage conveyance in the area. Project construction coincided with the reconstruction of Olive Avenue. The project consisted of a 10-year storm drain along Olive Avenue between 51st Avenue and 91st Avenue, two basins at 71st Avenue and 81st Avenue, and a series of collector drains. The City of Glendale was the lead agency on the construction of the collector drain on 63rd Avenue from Olive to the Sahuaro Ranch basin and the storm drain between 51st Avenue and 67th Avenue. The City of Peoria was the lead agency on the construction of the basins. The District was the lead agency on the storm drain project between 67th Avenue and 91st Avenue. The District and the cities of Glendale and Peoria shared project costs.Owner and Maintenance: City of Glendale, City of Peoria
