Centennial Levee is a compacted earth-filled dam with a floodway channel. It collects sheetflow from a 21-square mile area and drains to Centennial Wash. The levee provides 100-year flood protection and is approximately 4.5 miles long. The levee was constructed in a partnership including the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, now the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), as the federal sponsor.

Operation and Maintenance: Flood Control District
Authorization: Watershed Protection and Flood Control Act, Public Law 566
