Project Description:

Study Area: 

The North Peoria ADMP Update study area encompasses approximately 110 square miles primarily in northern Maricopa County. The study area is generally bounded by the US-60 on the south, Lake Pleasant on the north, El Mirage Road to the west and Lake Pleasant Parkway to the east.

The North Peoria ADMP Update will:

  • Create a database of known flooding and drainage problems.
  • Develop new state-of-the-art models using new aerial mapping and land use data.
  • Assess flooding hazards and previously proposed solutions.
  • Prepare a plan to provide potential solutions for flood-prone areas.

Site visits have been made to the study area to assess on-ground conditions and current development. Data is currently being collected from various state and local government agencies for use in the base conditions hydraulic model development. The District will be coordinating with stakeholders shortly to schedule individual meetings, with the intention of informing them of the project and recording any concerns and issues they are experiencing within the study area.
