Project Type: Engineering/Design

Project Description:

This project is for the design of the Paradise Ridge Channel.

The Paradise Ridge Channel was identified in the Pinnacle Peak West Area Drainage Master Study as being a necessary component to control the alluvial fan flooding in the area. Once constructed, this project will reduce the flood hazard in the area and complete the final step of a comprehensive solution to this drainage corridor. The project includes design of a channel system and associated structures to contain and convey the 100-year flood within Rawhide Wash from Scottsdale Road to the SR-101 culvert system. This is a joint project with the City of Phoenix and the Arizona State Land Department as a key stakeholder.
