Project Description:
Background
The previous study was originally completed in 1993. The study area is approximately 61 square miles located within the City of Phoenix [see map]. Since 1993, the study area has seen many changes, making an update necessary.
Purpose
- Identify existing flood hazards
- Evaluate potential solutions
- Use newer technologies
How Could the Study Affect You?
The results of this study will be used to inform property owners of flood hazards and risks so that they can be better prepared to make informed choices to reduce their risk of flooding.
