Project Description:

This project will improve the East Maricopa Floodway on the northwest corner of Power Road and Guadalupe Road. It will enhance the ability of maintenance staff to maintain the structure, optimize the floodway to reduce mosquito breeding, and improve the overall appearance by enhancing native vegetation to support local wildlife.

Construction activities are expected to continue through the end of March 2026.

Fall storms in October and November 2025 impacted the project schedule including the amount of dirt fill able to be deposited at the site. This has resulted in a revised estimated construction schedule to continue through the end of March 2026. Once the dirt fill is completed, remaining work includes grading, rock installation, and plant revegetation.
