Project Description:

The District prepared an Area Drainage Master Study (ADMS) to identify known and potential flooding and erosion hazards in the Buckeye/Sun Valley area. An ADMS estimates flood potential for a watershed, maps watercourses, identifies existing and potential drainage problems, and develops preliminary solutions and standards for sound floodplain and stormwater management. The study, covering approximately 280 square miles of watershed, was a joint effort between the District, the city of Buckeye and a variety of key stakeholders.

The ADMS was completed in 2007. Subsequent Area Drainage Master Plans will develop recommended solutions. The ADMS report is available in hard copy and DVD format, and can be obtained from the District’s library.
