Project Description:

The Flood Control District of Maricopa County and the Town of Fountain Hills have partnered to make improvements to Ashbrook Wash between Bayfield Drive and Del Cambre Avenue (see project map linked under Available Documents below).

The Ashbrook Wash Improvement Project is expected to include replacing two culvert crossings (at Bayfield Drive and Saguaro Boulevard), as well as removing non-native vegetation from Ashbrook Wash to ensure it can safely convey flood flows.

Once completed, properties adjacent to Ashbrook Wash between Bayfield Drive and Del Cambre Avenue will be protected from flooding caused by 100-year flows through the wash, or flows that have a one percent chance of occurring in any given year. The design and construction are being coordinated with the Saguaro Boulevard Reconstruction Project.
